Welcome to our project!
Faith, Technology and Tomorrow is a project providing opportunities for scientists, medical professionals, engineers and those with no background in science, from church congregations and the wider community, to meet together to explore how Christian faith illuminates questions of science, medicine and the environment in tomorrow's technological context.
Tuesday 12th September 2017 - Human Enhacement
We will be back at SML Church Centre on the 19th September to explore Human Enhancement with Justin Tomkins. This will include a talk and discussion, with time for Q&A on the subject of Human Enhancement.
The vision of Human Enhancement movement is to use technology not just to heal those who are sick but also to ‘enhance’ those who are well, for example by radically extending human life, genetically enhancing future generations, or even by uploading ourselves into computer systems.
This session will explore how we live well in our technological context and engage not only with what is currently possible but also with some of the visions behind what may be possible next.
Human enhancement includes technology such as that shown in the video below. For more information on that project see http://www.daniclodedesign.com/thethirdthumb
